What this website collects

Nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no third-party scripts on any page. Fonts, stylesheets and images are served from this site itself, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.

The video files on this site are served from our own media host. A video only downloads once you press play on it.

Server logs

The web server that hosts these pages keeps an ordinary access log: the requested address, the time, the response code, the browser's user-agent string and the requesting IP address. It is used to keep the site working and to spot abuse. It is not joined to anything else, not sold, and not shared, and it is discarded on the host's normal rotation.

When you write to us

The demo and blueprint buttons on this site are ordinary links to our scheduling page at Calendly, a third-party service. Nothing about you is sent there by loading a page here; you reach it only if you click, and what you then enter is handled under Calendly's own policy. Every other contact route on this site opens your own email program with a message addressed to us: nothing is sent until you press send, and the message goes to our mailbox directly rather than through a form on this site.

The links to our TikTok, Instagram and X profiles in the footer are plain links too. They carry no tracking parameters, and no social-network script, pixel or embed runs on this site.

When you do write, we keep your message and our replies so that we can answer you and carry on the conversation. That normally means your name, your email address, your company and whatever you chose to tell us about your systems. We use it to answer you and to prepare a quotation. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your details.

Ask us to delete your correspondence at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep an invoice or a contract for tax or accounting reasons.

Connected social accounts

Volta publishes its own content to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X and LinkedIn through a scheduling tool that runs on our own server. When an account is connected, the network gives that tool an access token; the token is stored encrypted on our server and used only to publish the posts we schedule and to read the basic profile of the connected account. Nothing is posted that was not written by us, no other data is read from the account, and the tokens are deleted the moment the connection is removed on our side or revoked on the network's side. This applies to accounts we operate and to client accounts a client has asked us to run under a written agreement.

Client systems

This policy is about the website. When we work on a client's system we handle that client's data under the agreement signed with them, which sets out access, confidentiality and retention. Client data is never used to train anything, never moved outside the agreed systems, and never shown in a demonstration to anyone else.

Your rights

Ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below and we will answer within a working week.
