Who we are

Volta is a systems practice based in Cairo, Egypt. We implement and maintain Odoo for companies, run Egyptian e-invoicing as a service, publish modules on the Odoo App Store, build mobile applications, and digitise Arabic print archives. Contact details are at the foot of this page.

Using this website

The pages, films, images and text on this site are ours or used with permission. You may read them, link to them and quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy the site, its films or its module descriptions to present them as your own, and you may not use automated tools to scrape the site beyond what a search engine does.

The site is offered as it is. We keep it accurate, but figures such as prices and test counts describe the state of things on the date shown on each page and can change without notice. Nothing on the site is an offer that binds us until a quotation is signed.

Demos and trials

Demo systems we give you access to hold invented data. Do not put real personal or financial data into a demo. Access to a demo can be withdrawn at any time and a demo is not a promise of any particular feature in a delivered system.

Services

Work for a client is done under a written quotation or contract that sets out scope, price, timeline, acceptance and support. Where that document is silent, the following applies: we deliver what was quoted; changes are quoted separately before they are done; you keep the data and the customisations we build for you; we keep the right to reuse general know-how and any module we publish on the App Store; and neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for more than the amount paid for the work in question.

App Store modules

Modules published by Volta on the Odoo App Store are sold under the licence stated on each listing and under Odoo's marketplace terms. Support for a purchased module is provided by email for the period stated on the listing.

Social publishing

Volta publishes to its own social accounts, and to client accounts under a written agreement, through a scheduling tool on our own server. Anyone connecting an account to that tool agrees that Volta may publish the content agreed with them to that account, and can remove the connection at any time from the network's settings or by writing to us. We follow each network's developer and community terms.

Law and disputes

These terms and any agreement with us are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. If something goes wrong, write to us first; most issues are settled within a working week.
